1. Gator Sealant Wet Look Finish

Product Description

Gator Sealant Wet Look Finish bores deep into natural stone pores and concrete pavers, reducing the dirt and oil penetration.

The Gator product helps impede corrosion from:

  • Motor oil and grease stains.
  • De-icing salt.
  • Ultraviolet rays.

Product Features

  • Easy to maintain and clean
  • Solvent-based
  • Non-slip formula
  • High-gloss, lustrous finish
  • Ensures colors look more vibrant

Product Applications

This product is intended for use on dry cast concrete pavers.

Product Instructions

  • Test Gator Sealant on a small concealed area of approximately 4 square feet to ensure the results will meet your expectations.
  • Use Gator Clean products to remove all stains from the concrete pavers. To remove any unknown coating that remains on the concrete paver surface, use Gator Clean Sealer Stripper.
  • Clear away any contaminated jointing material and replace it with Gator Polymeric Sand. Follow the directions on the back of the package for proper sand installation.
  • To ensure the Gator Polymeric Sand properly hardens, wait at least 48 hours at a minimum temperature of 60 degrees Fahrenheit. It’s also critical that no rainfall occurs during this time.
  • Use Gator Efflorescence Cleaner to clean the entire surface. Doing so will completely clean the surface for appropriate sealer adhesion and remove the efflorescence trapped in the concrete paver pores.
  • Just like you did when applying the Gator Polymeric Sand, wait at least 48 hours at a minimum temperature of 60 degrees Fahrenheit. Again, plan to complete this process when there is no chance of rain so that the concrete paver surface and sand remain dry.
  • Use a sprayer in 60 square foot sections to apply one coat of Gator Seal Wet Look Sealer. Next, use a solvent-resistant foam roller to extricate excess sealer left on the surface. Gator Seal Wet Look Sealer is rain safe and water-repellent after 90 minutes.
  • Before using the sealed area, let the sealer dry for 24 hours.

Please take note of the following considerations before you use the product:

  • Only seal concrete pavers 60 days after their installation date, and always make sure to consult with the team at Nitterhouse Masonry Products for recommendations.
  • Ensure jointing sand and concrete pavers are 100% dry.
  • When the sealer is applied, the temperature should be between 60 degrees Fahrenheit and 85 degrees Fahrenheit and the concrete paver surface must be cool to the touch.
  • Remove all rust stains, oil and grease from concrete pavers by cleaning them with Gator Clean products.
  • Remove any trapped efflorescence with Gator Efflorescence Cleaner. This product will also help to ensure a proper sealer adhesion — use just one layer of sealer.
  • Make sure you will have at least 48 hours of dry conditions before applying Gator Seal Wet Look Sealer.
  • This product cannot be employed as a resealer, as it’s explicitly formulated for use on unsealed surfaces.
  • Wear respiratory protection, eye protection and protective gloves.

5. Gator Hybrid Seal

Product Description

Use Gator Hybrid Seal — a product made of 100% pure high-grade acrylic — to seal natural stones and pavers. This product passes through natural stone pores and the concrete paver, reducing the dirt and oil penetration. One gallon of the sealer will cover roughly 100 square feet. Coverage will vary depending on the porosity of the surface of the stones and joint size.

Gator Hybrid Seal helps to prevent:

  • Grease and motor oil stains.
  • Ultraviolet rays.
  • Corrosion from de-icing salt.

Product Features

  • Rapid Installation
  • Will not discolor
  • Works above 40 degrees Fahrenheit or 5 degrees Celsius

Product Applications

This product is designed for use on clay pavers.

We recommend a test area if using sand consisting of a polymer as jointing material. Some clay pavers retain humidity and are more permeable, which might cause the polymers to react on the damp surface and cause a haze.

Product Instructions

Whether you are using Zero Gloss, Low Gloss or High Gloss Gator Hybrid Seal, follow these steps:

  1. If using this product as a stand-alone sealer, apply Gator Hybrid Seal at the rate of 200 square feet per gallon. If needed, spray on the surface and back roll to even out the surface.
  2. You can also use Gator Hybrid Seal as a Sealer or Joint Sand Stabilizer. Apply at the rate of 100 square feet per gallon. Then, using a roller or squeegee, force the excess sealer from the surface into the joints.
  3. Concrete pavers should only be sealed 60 days after their installation date. Seek advice from the concrete paver manufacturer for their recommendation.
  4. To ensure results will meet your expectations, always test the product on a small concealed area of approximately 4 square feet.
  5. Use the Gator Clean Efflorescence Cleaner to clean the surface. This product will effectively clean the surface for desired sealer adhesion and remove the efflorescence trapped in the concrete paver pores.
  6. Hold off on applying Gator Hybrid Seal if rain is expected within 24 hours.
  7. Do not allow the sealer to puddle.
  8. When the sealer is applied, the temperature should be between 40 degrees Fahrenheit and 85 degrees Fahrenheit. The concrete paver surface must be cool to the touch.
  9. This product is rain safe and water-repellent after 24 hours, so you should allow the sealer to dry for 24 hours before using the area.

Please take note of the following considerations before installing the product:

  • Only seal concrete pavers 60 days after their installation date, and always make sure to consult with the team at Nitterhouse Masonry Products for recommendations.
  • To ensure results will meet your expectations, always test the product on a small concealed area of about 4 square feet.
  • Use Gator Efflorescence Cleaner to clean the surface of the area and remove the efflorescence trapped in the concrete paver pores.
  • If rain is expected within 24 hours, do not apply.
  • Make sure the sealer does not puddle.
  • Wear eye protection, protective gloves and respiratory protection.
